Happy 7th Birthday to Cosmo!!!!!!!!

This fun loving guy has a great time every time with who ever he meets.  You can always count on Cosmo to make a new friend feel at home in Day Care.  We all hope you had a great birthday this weekend!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY COSMO!!!!!!!

Safety During This Halloween Season For Your Dog

Halloween candy and treats are not good for your dog.  Candy, especially chocolate is extremely toxic, artificial sweeteners in candy, and gum can contain xylitol a highly toxic substance for your pet.  Food wrappers can cause chocking and stomach upset and/or gastrointestinal blockage.  Party snacks may contain salty ingredients that can also be poison.  Alcoholic beverages pose significant risk of sever illness and/or even death.

Decorations should not be in areas where dogs can ingest them or bump into them.  Power cords leas to tripping and electrical shock if chewed.  Be careful where you place the Jack-o-Lanterns a dog can eat a whole pumpkin, this can lead to diarrhea if too much is consumed at one time.  Candles can cause potential burning or start fire.  Your dog can chock on decorations if eaten.

Many dogs will be afraid of costumes even with people they know.  They can get confused and anxious so are best moved to another room when having guest in costumes visit your home.  Costumes for dogs, you have to see how they handle it.  If they don't like it don't push it.  Loose fitting costumes can cause tripping hazards or even get caught up causing injury and/or death.  Tight fitting costumes can can sores.

Best to keep unsupervised dogs indoors during this times of year.  Even though the black cat is more widely targeted people can be extremely cruel to any household pet unattended.

Happy Birthday To Fez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fez will be celebrating his 7th birthday later this week.  We all want to wish him a Very Happy Birthday.  Fez is loved by everyone here at Day Care, he is the biggest snuggler.

Welcome Maddie to Day Care!!!!!!

Maddie is a very sweet German Shepard Mix puppy who is a great addition to Day Care.  She is learning the ropes from the small dogs but is growing in leaps and bounds and in no time will move up to the big dog room.  Welcome Maddie!
